A visit to Poas volcano takes around 45 minutes. You will spend five minutes presenting your entrance ticket, sign waivers, and line up. This is then followed by a walk on the paved path from the parking area to the overlook and this may take around 10 minutes. You will spend twenty minutes at the overlook and another ten minutes walking back to the parking lot in a group of six guides and fifty visitors.
